Trustees Australia Limited has been listed on the ASX since 1987 and holds a range of financial services licences including licence authorisations which enable the company to provide custodial services and also act as responsible entity (RE) or trustee for registered and unregistered managed investment schemes in a number of asset classes.
The company has generally restricted its activities in these areas to funds, or assets, in which it has promoted or has had a financial interest. In 2008/2009 it was decided to use the skills and systems developed over several years for third party application.
Currently Trustees Australia limits its involvement to a number of relatively ‘boutique’ third party domestic funds in which is acts as Responsible Entity, Trustee and Custodian, but seeks to progressively expand its involvement across a variety of asset classes in line with the development of its system technologies.
The company has a web-based superannuation fund administration platform (AdminPARTNERS). The platform has a proven reliability in performing complex investment management, administration and registry functions.
The balance sheet of Trustees Australia enables it to meet regulated net tangible asset thresholds as Custodian and RE. As a result, Trustees Australia is able to offer a combined custody, RE and administration service for clients such as investment managers or fund promoters seeking a turnkey service solution to getting a new fund up established or an existing fund operating more efficiently.
